lunch bags
blogging is a new adventure for me so i thought i would practice with a post of some bags i made this spring. the bags were created for my son's teachers during teacher appreciation week.
the bag with the pink flap is the lunch bag pattern from Favorite Things. i added length to the flap with the ruffle and created the front panel by sewing scraps to a piece of muslin. the pink bag turned out to be a fun creation with pink denim and Kaffe Fasset fabrics. i started with a commercially made lunch bag we had to determine the size. the straps are pieced with the prints from the front and lining. i was in a ruffle mood that day so the top has a ruffle to match the lining. the blue chicken bag was made for a chicken collector. the bag is something i have worked on for gift bags and small shopping bags. extending the strap made a perfect size for a lunch bag. i was pleased how the bags came together.
i currently have a couple of fun things on my sewing table that i hope to share in the next week or so. the photography is currently a bit of a challenge for me but i will embrace the learning opportunity and hopefully share some new and fun ideas. happy crafting!!
Love your bags... I could go for a PINK LUNCH BAG....
